Welcome to Wednesday Evening prayer from the Anglican ‘A prayer book for Australia’.
We proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ:
GOD in his infinite mercy, forgives all sins, and through our baptism in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we are given a rebirth into new life, free from the burden of all sin. ALLELUIA
With faithfulness we respond to the good news:
We acknowledge Christ as our saviour and accept with gratitude, that we are forgiven for all wrong doings, past and present. To honour the gift of forgiveness, we release our burden of guilt and rise up to live in the glory of God forever more.
Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Blessed be God forever.

Almighty God, we thank you for your church and its place in our world and we ask that you bless the whole church. Bless all clergy, and volunteers, with modern thinking and progressive plans to bring a safe and inclusive church into being throughout our country.

Generous God, we ask that you show generosity by remembering the homeless, the destitute, the sick, the aged, and all who have none to care for them. Heal those who are broken in body or spirit and turn their sorrow into joy. Send people to minister to their needs in generous ways.

Loving God, how great a companion you are to everyone of us, we pray that you give relief to the lonely, guide them in their friendships to be companions of others in need.

Loving God, we give you thanks, that through your son Jesus Christ, you have shown us the way to live in your righteousness. Reconciled, forgiven, sharing you with others as you have called us to do. We pray for reconciliation with you God and reconciliation with each other and ask for strength to remain in your presence in all we do.

Saviour God, we remember with love all those that have passed this week. We thank you for the faithfully departed and your servants in every age. We ask that our ancestors and all your saints may be brought to a joyful resurrection and the fulfilment of your glorious kingdom.

Gracious God, we bless you for the gracious memory of her majesty Queen Elizabeth, for her reign rich in years and accomplishment and for the memory of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh for the many lives they both touched, and for the faith that sustained them in life and in death. We remember them with gratitude for their great works.

Gracious God, we thank you for our schools, colleges, and universities. We ask that you bless the teachers that provide the education that expands the minds of the students and that their education goes on to nurture the future of our country.

We proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ:
GOD in his infinite mercy, forgives all sins, and through our baptism in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we are given a rebirth into new life, free from the burden of all sin. ALLELUIA
With faithfulness we respond to the good news:
We acknowledge Christ as our saviour and accept with gratitude, that we are forgiven for all wrong doings, past and present. To honour the gift of forgiveness, we release our burden of guilt and rise up to live in the glory of God forever more.

In Christ Jesus, the life-giving law of the Spirit: has set us free from the law of sin and death. All who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God: It is the Spirit that enables us to cry, ‘Abba!’ Father. The Spirit bears witness that we are God’s children: and if God’s children, then heirs of God. We are heirs of God and fellow-heirs with Christ: If we share his sufferings now we shall be glorified with him hereafter. These sufferings that we now endure: are not worth comparing with the glory that shall be revealed. For the creation waits with eager longing: for the revealing of the children of God.
